Reporting from Gaza: Israel carries out airstrike against UN school housing displaced Palestinians, kills 16 people

Dear friends,
Israel continues its murderous onslaught against the people of Gaza.  As of today, the Palestinian ministry of health have reported that more than 800 people have lost their lives, the majority civilian, including hundreds of children.

Since Israel's assault began 18 days ago, the United National Reliefs and Workers Agency which works with Palestinian refugees has been providing refugee for Palestinians in the schools that it runs.

On Thursday, July 24, Israel carried out an airstrike against one of the schools housing refugees in Beit Hanoun killing 16 people (mostly children) and injuring more than 160. UNWRA spokesperson, Chris Guiness noted on twitter, that it was not the first time that the Israeli Occupation Forces had struck a UN school housing refugees, despite the fact that the UN had provided the military with the exact coordinates of the schools.

Al Jazeera has also reported on the airstrike against the school. You can read it here.
