Then there would be no bloodshed, no casualties. It is very simple. A shame you dont understand that shooting at Israeli civilians is wrong.

Hamas (your democraticly selected party) is shooting rockets on israeli towns, unprovoked. And an Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, is held in Gaza, against all international laws, without visits, without calls, without TV, without contact with his family and without 3 meals a day...

All you people needed to do, as Israel is no longer occupiying any part of Gaza, and has no dispute with you and never did, was to stop your stupid leadership from firing on innocent people. Then you wouldnt have to see all these tragic stupid pictures.noamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06657634941124587312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3623316088497384976.post-20509855912726129452009-01-16T10:02:00.000-08:002009-01-16T10:02:00.000-08:00I didn't know you had your own blog. Thank you so ...I didn't know you had your own blog. Thank you so much for standing with the Palestinians. Yes, its a terri...Dear Holly,
thanks for your post. Yes, its a terrible thing which is happening. As you said it is very important for us to try and convince people of the truth.

When people ask me what they can do to help, I always say that first they should educate themselves so they can educate others and I encourage them to get involved in a local Palestine solidarity group (or form one if there is none in your city or town).

Not everyone can visit Palestine. If you do that is great, but even if you do, Palestinians will tell you that they appreciate the work you do while you are in Palestine but its more important for you to speakout when you get home and be a voice for the Palestinian people.

So yes, attend the rallies as its important we are out on the streets and we are not silent in the face of these atrocities, but also peak to your friends, your family, work colleagues, church groups, community groups about what is going on, encourage them to read alternative media and understand what is going on.

Write letters to your politicians, local newspapers, organise a Palestine solidarity group or join one, organise a stall at your local supermarket, a film showing of a documentary on Palestine at your university or your local neighbourhood centre. Some people organise fundraisers for Gaza, others organising speaking forums or write a blog or for the alternative media etc.

Whatever it is you choose to do, it is all important!Nothing is too small.

And never feel that whatever you do won't make a difference and never believe people when they tell you that you can't make a difference, because you can and everything you do, no matter how big or small DOES make differnce.

We are not going to convince people over night, its going to be a long struggle but its one, if we believe in human rights and justice we must carry out no matter what the odds. The Palestinian people have never given up despite everything that has happened to them and neither should we.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01202280513083661037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3623316088497384976.post-191057473174687662009-01-03T01:14:00.000-08:002009-01-03T01:14:00.000-08:00Kim, I'm so glad people like you are out there tel...Kim, I'm so glad people like you are out there telling the truth. I'm half-Iranian and half-American and I live in Los Angeles, its so hard to convince people of the truth. I participated in the protests, but people are so brainwashed by the media its disgusting. Is there anything I can do to help you and the cause? Please let me know!Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04901137982725039834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3623316088497384976.post-27217163482547688642008-12-29T12:02:00.000-08:002008-12-29T12:02:00.000-08:00I am ashamed to be BritishI am ashamed to be Britishjuliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04283759962211889152noreply@blogger.com
